East Lancashire Women's Centres offer a range of services and opportunities that help us to meet our aim to ‘Support, Encourage and Enable’ all women to get the best out of life for themselves and their families. We support emotional wellbeing through group work, personal development courses and counselling. We deliver employment support and life skills training to make work more accessible. The centres provide a safe, non-judgemental and professional environment that is female only between the hours of 10am - 3pm. Whatever their needs, women can drop-in or telephone during our opening times to speak to a member of our team.
“I couldn’t improve it, I’m feeling more confident, more in tune with my inner self and my self-esteem is much improved.”
“Having my CV done by The Women’s Centre really boosted my confidence and the self-esteem course was well timed to give me a boost before starting work. I met some really lovely people on that course.”
“Counselling has made me feel less anxious and more confident and assertive and has been really positive and has changed my mind to think better and behave differently”
“I think the Women’s Centre is a valuable asset with friendly helpful staff. I am very grateful for all of the help I have received.”
“Thank you for being there at my lowest moments, for your help, support, encouragement and tissues! I am now feeling more positive and the new job is going well. I couldn’t have made it without you.”
“Compared to other essential services I do not think it could be improved, regarding speed of appointments and service given.”
